Welcome to the Peaks Mountains and Moor website -
 Peaks Mountains and Moor are based in the Peak District, offering instruction in mountaineering, scrambling, navigation and rock climbing throughout the UK. E.g. Peak District, The Lakes, North Wales and Scotland etc. In winter, mountaineering skills and snow/ice climbing courses are run in the Scottish Highlands based at Fort William or Aviemore. For those wishing to gain NGB qualifications, SPA, ML, and training and assessments are run throughout the year. All of our instructors are fully experienced, qualified and insured.
Our purpose is to offer genuine adventure experiences to independent , business and family clients in the wilderness environment at all levels of commitment: For fun, or skills acquisition. In particular promoting interest in and respect for the natural environment and its wildlife.

We feel that UK has the best development environment there is for an outdoor enthusiast. Here there's something for every lover of the outdoors; Peaks, Mountains, Moor, River, Lakes and Coast not forgetting the diverse wildlife. It's the ideal place to learn new skills and grow in confidence.
Holidays and Skills Courses are available based on Climbing, Abseiling or Scrambling, Hill walking, Navigation or Winter Walking. Customers can choose from scheduled dates, or premium One-to-One bespoke experiences. Guided Day Walks programme are available throughout the year for several locations Nationwide.
Our Ethos is to offer discerning adults who expect more than just the basics, our principle is to step-up the quality of the adventure experience for you, whether locally in the Peaks or further a field in the mountains of The Lake District, Wales and The Highlands of Scotland.
 We are available to create bespoke adventures and expeditions for individuals and groups. In small groups we can enjoy meeting people, without feeling crowded out; we can take time to help individuals learn the skills needed for adventure activities, so they can best enjoy their holiday, or because they are came to get trained-up on a skills course! A strong service ethic means holidays and courses are "sized to fit" not "one size fits all'.
Families may also book activities for under 18's provided that parents/legal guardians accompany the young people participating: Please ask for advice on the suitability of activities. Family group activities days and holidays can be arranged.
Associate Instructors
All our activities are led by friendly and experienced, professional instructors, chosen because they are good at sharing their sport with others safely. Our Associate Instructors, male and female, have National Governing Body qualifications and several years of personal interest in the activities they lead. Our training has taken place at The National Mountain Centres, The National Water sports Centre, The National White Water Centre, and other official training providers in the U.K.
Participation Statement
Your acknowledgement of risk: All our activities take place in "the wilderness environment" and there are always risks accompanying being in these places. These may be from rough terrain, weather, water, equipment, other people, or wildlife. You must accept that your actions will contribute to the level of your safety and that of our group.
Environmental Sustainability Policy
Peaks Mountains and Moor will always endeavour to operate its activities according to the policies of the activities national governing bodies. We will engage in local environmental initiatives. In any case, this includes our recycling waste materials and using fuel-efficient vehicles.
